Read “the Condition” for a couple of hours in the morning. Much of what Engels says still applies in principle, although the methods of exploitation have lessened or even eliminated the danger of unemployed dying, work causing malformity. But imagine the pure capitalist state; no unemployment benefit for all; no real education; no proletariat or his children to improve themselves…in short the removal only of those evils which offend the world as a whole.

Steve was ill in bed, so attempted to cheer him up. We made a tape to send to Ireland and bought a 12 film.

I took my share while out at night; a couple in the Globe, then some of me, Steve R, Tim, Nige and Rich – he puked up later on (and not 100% in the prescribed place). I’m not sure whether he’ll be coming back ever again.

Regained my “Marxism Today” book from Steve – looks like he may not turn out to be a communist. What a pity, for it’s shame for someone of such promise to be attracted to the Capitalist side. He has equated karate with free competition = the Tory Party. What a sadly simplistic view. Na’th’less, I will work on him and I will achieve final victory.
