Still bitterly cold today, about 2 degrees centigrade with high winds. Even as I write, I can feel how cold the page is beneath my hands (not being the warmest of bedrooms).

Brought my cassette recorder to school today and had a very interesting time – as well as recording the voices of my closest friends engaged in spontaneous discussion, Mo, one of whom I recorded about five minutes, turned out as the hideously boring monotone that Benny epitomised him as.

Looking back I was in stitches when I later played them back. If added to, it will be great to look back over them in years to come.

Haven’t had any contacts from the Party recently, but it can only be expected. Just imagine a massively strong Brid Branch of the Young Communist League, something like 200 strong. We would be the strongest body in the area and be able to achieve great things –n like left wing Councils, Local Government etc. as well as strengthening the area for the Labour left.

I wouldn’t refuse the task of running such a body, but only would take it on if democratically elected. A committee of about ten, solvency and unity and strength. Not likely to be realised this year.
