Next week will be the last of cross country during the sixth form. I may do that, but I gave this one a miss.

Things in the greatest cause in the world are coming along fine. Sometimes I stop and the one small thought of “what good will setting up a local branch do in the mass struggle especially when it is so easy to let things slip?” But what I immediately think in reply is, that if everybody in every town of 26,000 people did the same, we would make leaps towards creating the prerequisite circumstances for a revolutionary transformation of society. If the ratio of Communists in the Brid branch to others were the same throughout the country, imagine how strong the Party would be.

Although my mind is totally pre-occupied with the taking up of this great challenge, I do find time to think of Margaret – it’s impossible not to, but I think it’d be best to keep her (and any other birds) out of the fore until my “egg” is hatched.
