Had a pretty hilarious day today – not being able to get into our form room because of the Religionists, we soon found other ways to amuse ourselves. We stood in the covered way and waited for the juniors to attach us....mind you, retaliating is great fun (violent fun, nothing vicious of course).

Spent valuable afternoon finishing off this term’s work for French. Still managed to squeeze some fun out of the afternoon. The usual empty bus ride home – on Wednesday only Chris, John M. and Dixon are on the bus – what a lively trio – the two former can only be contacted by talking motor-bike (of which I know nothing).

Studied the basic principles of Marxism for a while, if I am to Branch Secretary, I will be expected to have a wide understanding of the subject. I will have to become at least passable at delivering speeches. The basic problem and objection to me occupying such a post is that I’m not on the ‘phone.
