23.4.1976 Henry VII

Same sort of day as yesterday really. Long walk in the morning, where I got rid of over 20 stickers (might not seem many, but more than 20 people will read them). In another area much frequented by young people, tourists – god! Great potential there!

Made some notes for an essay on Henry VII of England...he was so mean he made “Rich “ look like a philanthropist. Well, not quite that greedy!

Got the holiday photos today. They were good (at back of diary) but I was disappointed that no good record of Martine came out. Got some excellent shots of Chantal, Sylvie and Danielle. I’ll never forget them, they were such beautiful people. Got a shot of me on the banks of the Loire – my first thought was “come to Marlborough country” and the fact that I was without cigarette did not detract from the cigarette advertisement look. Damned capitalists, perverting our views of beautiful things by their covert, sly, politic, underhand advertising!
