Didn’t do games today as I was too busy. Got some excuse note of chilblains or something.
Talked to Lesley in the evening for half an hour or so. It seems she’s had a bit of an emotional upset over…what else! - a boy. I tried to help by offering a sympathetic ear (which, after the experiences of early last year, I know does help) any time she wants it. I may not be in a position to judge whether talking to me does help anyone, but Trudi, Lyn and Vicki seemed to think so.
Emotional problems are very interesting and after the challenge has been made, I’ll devote all my energies until I come up with a solution. That is a triumph for me personally and emphasized by the knowledge that I have helped someone over a rough spot. Life’s too good to be blotched by problems of this nature – more subjective than objective.
Had a good argument with Steve R. about Kenny – his obesity: objective or subjective truth? A seemingly trivial remark, which had( teacherical (although light-veined!) argument. We even established an objective truth about it: Kenny (teacher) is a fat prat! O the joys of philosophy!
Nearly died as a result of “Fawlty Towers”. Gods! Talk about funny – I’ve never laughed so much since Python itself!
