Determined to do some work today and actually got done more than I’d planned to do. Got engrossed in the Russian and time fled by quickly. I envisage it getting harder, but with learning I should be able to deal with it as easy as with French (and in my early days, Latin).

Had a drink later on. This was the first this week. Now that my brewing activities have stopped (for the moment) I drink very little at home – at one time it used to be at least two pints a night nearly every night...all this while I was about 14 too!!
