Took photos to school today. It’s taken only 7 days – of which a large number must have been consumed in postage – to be developed and returned. As to the quality, they’re excellent. The only thing that spoilt them was Rich – if you only knew what a freak he is. I completely disown him. He’s never in the photos he always invades them. Mary summed him up when she said “My god, what a freak; he looks like a ten year old”.

Discussion of a committee arose today. As yet I may still decide to go for election; you cannot put pressure on the organisation from without – it has to be within. If we win only slight power, it will lay the basis for the next generation ....like the idea of the Labour Party really.
