Like Steve R said, Sunday is a doldrum. I did achieve something, because I wrote an essay on the growth of Parliament’s powers between 1603- 29. That was right up my street and over the Civil War. I disagree with the simplistic Marxist theory. If the Civil War was a bourgeois revolution, why was the 18th the acne, golden age of the Aristocracy?

Watched “World at War” which yielded the usual wealth of interest. Matthew did a lot of puking in the evening and prevented me doing much reading. Got a book called “50 years of Communism 1917-67” – a fallacy in itself because no Communist state has yet evolved.
