Finished an English essay this afternoon but the day was capped with a lesson of French –agh! (Well it’s ok but Doris is a bit pretentious).

Got my quota of “Challenge” and a whole bundle of other things – including some raffle tickets and the District Newsletter by Carol. It proved very interesting and Steve made it all worthwhile by saying he’d need only two or three (including me!) to attend a meeting.

Arranged the final details with Trevor about getting here etc. And he says he’s bringing a friend – Karl. He’s already very much on the left, so with a name like that we should be able to “convert” him. Did some more planning in the evening, but I cannot get bogged down in too much detail because I don’t know how much support I’ d get. Anyway, things are at least looking promising. What a pity Steve did not put me in touch with Trevor a few months earlier – we’d have had a branch going by now.
