Was very beautiful weather today – Spring is most definitely in the air (as the cliché runs). What a pleasure it was doing cross country – especially as it was only 2 miles due to a major cross country match going on. It’s so invigorating to see the sun again after its long holiday.

I’ll miss very few of the cross- country runs now because it’s a pleasure running in Spring. Very little that was worth watching on television tonight so I made inroads further into Bainton’s “Here I stand”. It’s surprising that after an initial reaction, theology and the reformation period become very interesting. Whereas in some subjects too much detail is entrapping, with this it is more fascinating. I am able, as an atheist to make rational appraisals of most things put before me, but cannot enter as deeply into the spirit of things (and also have subjective views) as could a Religionist. (My current epithet for all those who believe in their own God).
