16.3.1976 Civil War

Back to Brid – school (as opposed to home school, for now school work is carried on 7 days a week) with a refreshed feeling after the weekend booze up and reading. Was a bit put out about the Midsummer Night’s Dream – Pederast Bopper (history teacher) would have to tell us the wrong week, probably his thought were wandering to other parts!!

History was good, because I was able to argue with Paddy (history teacher) and his lecture notes having read about the Counter Reformation beforehand.

Made some notes for a history essay in the evening, then wrote to Steve in Hull. My phone call to him on Friday has put a new light on my letters to him and he appears less to be the distant demagogue in Hull. Told him about my letter to Trevor, or rather what I said in it...if he replies it will be a good thing and I hope we can get a politically based friendship going.

Saw the beginnings of an average film “The Pawnbroker”(film 1964 Edward Lewis Wallant) but didn’t watch all of it. Worked out a couple of Branch meetings I’ll be able to attend.
