11.1.1976 Yorkshire pud

Having read Hadfield's "Dreams and Nightmares", I found it no chore to get into his "Childhood and Adolescence". The style is easy to read without the slightest hint of "chit - chat" and his ideas impress me. In fact this applies to both books and reading that is my idea of the Sunday morning in bed.
Around dinner-time, to the tune of Tch's Piano Concerto No 1, I tidied my (half of) bedroom up- not really a chore when you are distracted. After a dinner in which I allowed myself potatoe and Yorkshire pud and 11.01.1976

An hour making notes on the decline of Spain, saw coherency emerging from chaos and dispair. An hour and a half later I could predict I would actually finish the notes today. After four and a half hours work, I was ready to write the essay.... tomorrow prepeferably read a couple of hours more Hadfield, then collapse in bliss.
I've developed such an appetite for learning. I must have more books! Its probably a reaction to frugality over calorie intake! I've got over this weekend and resisted temptation much better.
